  1. aoetools (30-2) unstable; urgency=low
  2. * When loading the kernel module, marshal into the module the list of
  3. interfaces that we want to run AoE over. This fixes an obscure security
  4. problem where AoE traffic could go over a different interface than the
  5. one specified by the administrator (closes: #408042). Thanks, Jacques
  6. Normand for the explanation and Juan Céspedes for the patch.
  7. * debian/rules: Rewrote some part in order to be more verbose and solve
  8. the case when no volume is mounted. Thanks, Ferenc Wagner (closes:
  9. #492905).

  41. aoetools (21-1) unstable; urgency=low

  44. - Now the tools are udev-aware.
  45. - Added aoe-version tool for getting AoE-related software information.

  56. aoetools (15-1) unstable; urgency=low
  57. * New upstream release:
  58. - Man pages improved.
  59. - Missing device nodes trigger an error in the scripts now.
  60. - aoe-flush command added, for removing devices in driver memory.
  61. - Support aoe devices without "etherd" prefix in name.
  62. - Add support for -c flag to aoe-interfaces.
  63. - Some Debian changes merged.
  64. * debian/aoetools.init:
  65. - Change Provides: in the LSB header from 'mountaoe' to 'aoe'.
  66. - Add a comment about the loading of the aoe module.
  67. - Rearranged logic a bit, in order to postpone module load until we have a
  68. valid interface list. This has the added value of resolving (again) the
  69. installation in a new system.
  70. - Sleep 1 second before checking for /dev/etherd/discover, to give udev a
  71. chance to create the files.
  72. - Merged most of the modifications to the init script, kindly contributed
  73. by Glen W. Mabey. I added robustness and fixed some old errors while at
  74. it. This closes: #421554, #408044, #387552 (finally).
  75. * debian/aoetools.default: Added support for LVMGROUPS and AOEMOUNTS.
  76. * debian/rules: Added support for creating rc0.d/S34aoetools and
  77. rc6.d/S34aoetools.
  78. * debian/copyright: Point to GPL-2 instead of GPL.

  80. aoetools (11-1.2) unstable; urgency=low
  81. * Non-maintainer upload.
  82. * Apply patch from Nelson A. de Oliveira to fix missing dependency on
  83. lsb-base (closes: #403294)

  85. aoetools (11-1.1) unstable; urgency=high
  86. * Non-maintainer upload.
  87. * Have the init script opportunistically modprobe aoe, and exit out
  88. if $INTERFACES == none before checking for /dev/etherd, so that the
  89. PACKAGE installs cleanly on unconfigured systems; patch from
  90. Steve Langasek. (Closes: #391345)

  92. aoetools (11-1) unstable; urgency=low
  93. * New upstream release:
  94. - Use POSIX shell math instead of relying on bc or dc (closes: #377431).
  95. * The introduced changes, as is, do not work with discs bigger than 2 GB.
  96. The problem is that POSIX arithmetic is limited to 2147483648, but not in
  97. bash. Probably upstream author (and Warren Turkal) have /bin/sh pointing
  98. to /bin/bash, so he (they) did not see the problem. Changed all the
  99. scripts using bashisms to use /bin/bash.
  100. * debian/rules: Binaries should go to /sbin instead to /usr/sbin. If not,
  101. we are preventing users from using AoE volumes in the early boot process,
  102. as well as for hosting the /usr directory. Many thanks to Warren Turkal
  103. for pointing out this (closes: #388335).
  104. * debian/control:
  105. - Added aoe-revalidate to the list of included tools.
  106. - Bumped policy version to 3.7.2.1.
  107. * Added /etc/default/aoetools and /etc/init.d/aoetools in order to
  108. initialize AoE devices just after network goes up (position 41 in runlevel
  109. S). Added a README-Debian about this subject. This closes: #387552.

  111. aoetools (10-1) unstable; urgency=low
  112. * New upstream release. This fixes device creation, so closes: #337300.

  114. - Bump Standards-Version to 3.7.2.0.
  115. - Bump dependency on debhelper to >= 5.
  116. - Rewrote the package description.
  117. * debian/compat: Bumped compatibility to 5.
