  1. aoetools (21-1) unstable; urgency=low
  2. * New upstream release. Main changes are:
  3. - Merged Debian modifications for solving bashisms.
  4. - Now the tools are udev-aware.
  5. - Added aoe-version tool for getting AoE-related software information.
  6. - Added aoecfg tool, a full implementation of the config query feature of
  7. the AoE protocol.
  8. - Added some additional manpages and clarified copyright.
  9. - Enhanced aoeping.
  10. * debian/copyright: Added some information for making clear that Coraid is
  11. the real copyright holder.
  12. * debian/control: Added aoe-flush, aoe-version and aoecfg to the
  13. description.
  14. * Makefile: Added AOE_CFG_OBJ to the clean target.

  16. aoetools (15-1) unstable; urgency=low
  17. * New upstream release:
  18. - Man pages improved.
  19. - Missing device nodes trigger an error in the scripts now.
  20. - aoe-flush command added, for removing devices in driver memory.
  21. - Support aoe devices without "etherd" prefix in name.
  22. - Add support for -c flag to aoe-interfaces.
  23. - Some Debian changes merged.
  24. * debian/aoetools.init:
  25. - Change Provides: in the LSB header from 'mountaoe' to 'aoe'.
  26. - Add a comment about the loading of the aoe module.
  27. - Rearranged logic a bit, in order to postpone module load until we have a
  28. valid interface list. This has the added value of resolving (again) the
  29. installation in a new system.
  30. - Sleep 1 second before checking for /dev/etherd/discover, to give udev a
  31. chance to create the files.
  32. - Merged most of the modifications to the init script, kindly contributed
  33. by Glen W. Mabey. I added robustness and fixed some old errors while at
  34. it. This closes: #421554, #408044, #387552 (finally).
  35. * debian/aoetools.default: Added support for LVMGROUPS and AOEMOUNTS.
  36. * debian/rules: Added support for creating rc0.d/S34aoetools and
  37. rc6.d/S34aoetools.
  38. * debian/copyright: Point to GPL-2 instead of GPL.

  40. aoetools (11-1.2) unstable; urgency=low
  41. * Non-maintainer upload.
  42. * Apply patch from Nelson A. de Oliveira to fix missing dependency on
  43. lsb-base (closes: #403294)

  45. aoetools (11-1.1) unstable; urgency=high
  46. * Non-maintainer upload.
  47. * Have the init script opportunistically modprobe aoe, and exit out
  48. if $INTERFACES == none before checking for /dev/etherd, so that the
  49. PACKAGE installs cleanly on unconfigured systems; patch from
  50. Steve Langasek. (Closes: #391345)

  52. aoetools (11-1) unstable; urgency=low
  53. * New upstream release:
  54. - Use POSIX shell math instead of relying on bc or dc (closes: #377431).
  55. * The introduced changes, as is, do not work with discs bigger than 2 GB.
  56. The problem is that POSIX arithmetic is limited to 2147483648, but not in
  57. bash. Probably upstream author (and Warren Turkal) have /bin/sh pointing
  58. to /bin/bash, so he (they) did not see the problem. Changed all the
  59. scripts using bashisms to use /bin/bash.
  60. * debian/rules: Binaries should go to /sbin instead to /usr/sbin. If not,
  61. we are preventing users from using AoE volumes in the early boot process,
  62. as well as for hosting the /usr directory. Many thanks to Warren Turkal
  63. for pointing out this (closes: #388335).
  64. * debian/control:
  65. - Added aoe-revalidate to the list of included tools.
  66. - Bumped policy version to 3.7.2.1.
  67. * Added /etc/default/aoetools and /etc/init.d/aoetools in order to
  68. initialize AoE devices just after network goes up (position 41 in runlevel
  69. S). Added a README-Debian about this subject. This closes: #387552.

  71. aoetools (10-1) unstable; urgency=low
  72. * New upstream release. This fixes device creation, so closes: #337300.
  73. * debian/control:
  74. - Bump Standards-Version to 3.7.2.0.
  75. - Bump dependency on debhelper to >= 5.
  76. - Rewrote the package description.
  77. * debian/compat: Bumped compatibility to 5.
  78. * debian/copyright: Changed FSF's address to the new one.
  79. * Added devnodes.txt to shipped docs.
